Arsenal's Head of Academy Recruitment came to us with a challenge - to transform the way Arsenal's youth scouts worked and modernise the team's scouting process. With dozens of scouts on the road each day, and no formal process in place, scouts were using pen & paper and sending daily reports by email. They wanted to properly digitise their process, with a quick and simple way to capture information whilst watching a match, storing data and reports in one unified place, and helping scouts on the road collaborate together.

Starting off with a series of design workshops, we worked together to pinpoint the scout's needs & wants, going on to sketch out initial app concepts and define a core set of MVP features to test out an initial prototype.

I set about creating an interactive prototype, getting it in the hands of the scouts and gathering quick feedback, allowing for further iteration and refinement - as well as sparking discussion for new feature ideas - to create a high fidelity interactive prototype which could get Arsenal's seal of approval and become the basis for our development team to start building a real code version.
